Elena Rabinoff Derksen

I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto philosophy department. My primary interest is in epistemology. My thesis advisor is Jennifer Nagel, and my readers are Jonathan Weisberg, Gurpreet Rattan and David Barnett. I hold an M.A. from Ryerson University where I studied under David Hunter, and a B.A. from the University of Manitoba.

My dissertation is a defence of coherentism about justification. My project interacts with debates in classical epistemology, formal epistemology as well as cognitive science and psychology. I've also written about what counts as a reason for belief and about voluntarism about beliefs.
